Alisa Barlow -- MF/Def -- Escondido, Calif.

Alisa, or “Boogie” as she is known to her teammates and friends, is one of the top midfielders in southern California. She was team captain as a junior of her Escondido High School team and was named one of the Top 15 girls’ soccer players in North County, All Valley League 1st team, and a North County All-Star after her junior season. Alisa plays center midfield for the Cougars. Her high school coach is Hector Hernandez. In addition to playing on an outstanding high school team, Alisa plays her club soccer for one of the top clubs in Southern California, FC Bratz. She is a center defender for FC Bratz and coach Jerzy Szyndlar. Alisa will be majoring in business administration.

"Boogie is an exciting player with the ball at her feet. She is very creative and enjoys using her skills to beat players and create for her team. She is also an outstanding defender. She is a very complete player which is what we are looking for in the midfield. In addition, her versatility allows her to play nearly every position on the field." -- Coach Bolton.

Millie Brown -- Goalkeeper -- Elk Grove, Calif.

Millie is an athletic and experienced goalkeeper who has won multiple national championships at the club level. In 2006, while playing for coach Bolton at the club level, she led the Capital Athletic Soccer Academy Boca '90 team to a US Club National Championship in North Carolina. Millie saved four penalty kicks in the Region G semi-final match against FC Portland in Boise Idaho. She plays her high school soccer for Raymond Harris and Elk Grove High School. Millie currently recieves goalkeeper training from one of the top goalkeeper coaches in Sacramento, Conor McNulty. She will be majoring in criminal justice.

"Millie is a big-game goalkeeper. She has the knack for making big saves at big moments in games. She finds a way to keep the ball out of the net. Millie also has the very valuable experience of winning national championships and other big games and big tournaments during her youth career. She is going to make a fantastic college goalkeeper." -- Coach Bolton

Emily Celey-Butlin -- MF -- Elk Grove, Calif.

Emily is an athletic and dynamic center midfielder from Elk Grove. As a junior she was named team captain of her Elk Grove high school team and is a two-time All-Delta League honoree. She was also named All-Delta League Scholar Athlete in 2006. She is currently a starting center midfielder for her club team, CASA Boca '90, and is teammates with future Warrior Millie Brown. Her high school coach is Raymond Harris and her club coach is Cesar Plascencia. Emily will be majoring in biological science and zoology.

"Emily has the athletic ability and skill to make a huge impact in our midfield. She covers the ground well in the center of the midfield and is very comfortable with the ball at her feet. She has excellent vision and does a great job making the final pass." --Coach Bolton

Marissa Dunaway -- Forward -- Gilroy, Calif.

Marissa is an explosive forward out of the Bay Area who can play both on the wing and in the center. She is a two-time All-League first team selection for her high school team, Leigh High School, and has twice been named to the San Jose Mercury News All-Area team. She played her high school soccer for coach Michele Kennedy. Leigh High School is also the home of current Warrior standout Jessica Sitarz. Marissa and Jessica were teammates for two years at Leigh. Marissa is also a member of one of the top under-18 girls club teams in Northern California the Los Gatos Lock coached by Joan Meulman. Marissa will be majoring in business with an emphasis in marketing.

"Marissa is exactly the type of speedy wing player that is critical to our offense. She has the speed and athletic ability to get in behind defenses but she also has the skill and composure to keep possession of the ball. Marissa also has a knack for scoring goals."

Gennaka Fox -- Forward -- El Monte, Calif.

Gennaka is a transfer from the University of Pacific in Stockton where she played for two seasons after transferring from the University of Oregon. Gennaka competed one season for the Ducks and scored one goal in a match against 13th ranked Cal. A tremendous athlete, Gennaka was a four sport letter winner in high school. On the soccer field she was four-time MVP and All-Mission Valley League First Team selection at El Monte High School for coaches Nelson Rodriguez and Alex Wuence. In addition to soccer, Gennaka spent three seasons on the track and field team, was two-time cross country MVP, and also spent one season as catcher on her school’s softball team. Gennaka also helped lead her club team, Crown City, to the U19 Southern California State Cup Championship. Her club coach was Keri Sanchez. Gennaka will be pursuing her masters degree in physical education at Cal State Stanislaus.

"While Gennaka only has one more year of elibigility remaining we are looking forward to her bringing a lot great experience to our team. She has scored goals in the Pac 10 and Big West conferences at the NCAA Division I level and our team will benefit from her knowledge of the game. She is the type of forward that just finds a way to put the ball in the back of the net." -- Coach Bolton

Allison Freels -- Defender -- Orange, Calif.

Allison is a tough, athletic, speedy defender from one of the top U19 club teams in Southern California. Previously named the OJSC Extreme, her club team finished second in the state in the under-17 age group in 2007. Her club coach is Demian Brown. In addition to her outstanding defending skills Allison is known for her attacking runs out of the back and has the ability to hit outstanding long passes, crosses, and shots. She plays her high school soccer for coach Del Montel at Lutheran High School of Orange. Allison is undecided on her major.

"Allison has all of the qualities we are looking for in our outside defenders. She is athletic, aggressive, tenacious, and most importantly she enjoys going forward with the ball. She is a great crosser of the ball. Allison also has the added benefit of having played on one of the top club teams in the nation. She has played in big games with and against some of the top players in the country and that experience will be very valuable when she takes the field next fall." -- Coach Bolton.

Kittric Lovel -- Defender -- El Cajon, Calif.

Kittric is an extremely accomplished center defender from southern California. A three-year varsity member Kittric led her Valhalla High School team to the Division II CIF Finals in 2007 as a junior. She is a two-time team captain and three-year All-League selection for the Grossmont South League. Kittric has received her Scholar Athlete Letter three consecutive years and has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook for the past two years. Her high school coaches are Shane Martinez and Gary Trask. Kittric is also a member of the southern California club FC Bratz and is teammates with Alisa Barlow. Kittric plans on majoring in biological sciences in order to pursue a career in medicine.

"Kittric brings a tremendous amount of experience to our team as a center defender. Her defending skills and leadership on the field are outstanding. She has a tremendous understanding of the game and will make an immediate impact at the center back position. Kittric is also a tremendous student. She is the first women's soccer player awarded the President's Scholarship."

Ashley McGuiness -- Forward -- Manteca, Calif.

Ashley is a speedy forward with the ability to get behind defenses. In three seasons on the varsity squad at East Union she has been named the Valley Oak Offensive Player of the Year (freshmen season) and the Co-Most Valuable Player (junior year). She is also a two-time VOL first-team selection and in 2004 was named to the Manteca Boys and Girls Club All-Area team. Her high school coach is Jim Todd. Ashley plays her club soccer for the Manteca Rangers and coach Vince Meyer and Danny Cruz. The Rangers are one of the top teams in Northern California. She will be majoring in physical education.

"We like to tease Ashley that she has a lot to live up to because the last redhead from Manteca to play for Cal State Stanislaus was Cherie Early who was one of the best players in the history of our program. While Ashley will be her own player she will no doubt also have a huge impact as a Warrior. Her athletic ability and speed are exactly what we need. She is an outstanding player with the potential to be a great college player." -- Coach Bolton

Krista Messer -- Goalkeeper -- Turlock, Calif.

Krista is one of the top 2008 goalkeeper prospects from Northern California. A member of the Olympic Development Program, in 2007 Krista was named to the Cal North ODP State Team. She represented Cal North for the 2007/2008 season. She also plays her club soccer for the Modesto Ajax and head coach Steven Dean. Ajax is currently the #10 ranked team in the nation by Gotsoccer.com. Krista is trained at the goalkeeper position by noted local goalkeeper guru Mitch Watson. At Pittman High School Krista is a 4-year letter winner in soccer for coach Kim Runyan and a two-year letter winner in volleyball and basketball. Krista will be majoring in business.

"Local players are always going to be the core of our program and it is great to see a local player as accomplished as Krista from right here in Turlock deciding to play for her hometown college. She is an outstanding goalkeeper with all of the technical skills to really have a great college career. She is one of the best goalkeepers I've ever seen at playing the ball with her feet and managing the space behind a flat-back-four. That is absolutely critical in our system." -- Coach Bolton

Nichole Meyer -- Midfielder -- Manteca, Calif.

Nichole is a crafty center midfielder from the central valley. Her club team, FC Rangers, is one of the top teams in northern California. They are three-time Cal North State Cup quarterfinalists. FC Rangers are coached by Vince Meyer. Nichole also has experience playing for FC Sacramento of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL). The WPSL is the top amateur women's soccer league in the nation. FC Sacramento is coached by Danny Cruz. At the high school level Nichole was the 2007 Most Valuable Player for Central Catholic High School and is a three-time all-league honoree.

"Nichole is one of those players that can do special things with the ball. She can keep it, beat people 1v1, and slip the final pass to a forward all in the same sequence. Soccer players like that are not easy to find and we are lucky to have found one so close to home. She is another of our outstanding local products that has decided to play her college soccer near home." -- Coach Bolton

Kayln Pottorff -- Defender -- Fresno, Calif.

Kayln is an explosive left defender who can attack out of the back with speed and skill. She recently moved from Canyon Country in southern California to Fresno. While at Canyon High School in southern California she was a three-year varsity letter winner. She also played her club soccer for the Valley United Soccer Club. She now attends Clovis West High School and is a starting center midfielder on the varsity. She plays her club soccer for East Fresno Fusion. Kayln will be majoring in biology.

"Kayln will add speed and athletic ability to our back line. Finding quality left backs is extremely difficult and I think we have found one in Kayln. She has the defending skills and speed to be an effective defender as well as the attacking skills to add to our offense." -- Coach Bolton
