Ashley McGuiness -- Forward -- Manteca, Calif.

Ashley is a speedy forward with the ability to get behind defenses. In three seasons on the varsity squad at East Union she has been named the Valley Oak Offensive Player of the Year (freshmen season) and the Co-Most Valuable Player (junior year). She is also a two-time VOL first-team selection and in 2004 was named to the Manteca Boys and Girls Club All-Area team. Her high school coach is Jim Todd. Ashley plays her club soccer for the Manteca Rangers and coach Vince Meyer and Danny Cruz. The Rangers are one of the top teams in Northern California. She will be majoring in physical education.

"We like to tease Ashley that she has a lot to live up to because the last redhead from Manteca to play for Cal State Stanislaus was Cherie Early who was one of the best players in the history of our program. While Ashley will be her own player she will no doubt also have a huge impact as a Warrior. Her athletic ability and speed are exactly what we need. She is an outstanding player with the potential to be a great college player." -- Coach Bolton
